Laura was born on an Air Force base in Maryland but, once her father retired with twenty years of honorable service, her family relocated to the beautiful state of Maine. One month after her high school graduation, she was on a plane heading west to southern California. Beautiful beaches and warm winters, quickly made San Diego home for this New England girl. She worked for FedEx Ground while attending college and stayed with the company for ten years post graduation. Laura met a young Marine on January 3, 2001 who was checking into MCRD, San Diego to become a Drill Instructor. They agreed from the beginning to just be friends. January 5, 2002 they were married.
Over the next sixteen years, Laura worked in various industries ranging from floral design to fashion wholesale but, her #1 job was raising their two sons. She is proud to say that their eldest is a junior at SDSU studying Mechanical Engineering and their youngest is a junior at La Costa Canyon High School working on his International Baccalaureate Diploma and running Varsity Cross Country. One of the true loves of her life is her 14 year old dog named Sedona. She's been a rock by her side when her husband was deployed and couldn't be.
Over the years, Laura and her husband utilized his V.A. loan multiple times to purchase homes. With his construction skills and her eye for detail, they would remodel properties, sell for a profit and move up to larger homes. Getting into Real Estate and partnering with a Veteran based company such as Reef Point Real Estate, just seemed like a natural next step. Laura's intent is to work side-by-side with her husband to educate as many first time buyers about the power of home ownership by sharing personal experiences and life lessons.
